To achieve accurate medication and shorten waiting time for outpatient, order communication system by computer has been introducing in hospital pharmacy area of Korea and so, Asan Medical Center adopted order communication of Total Hospital Information System developed by Asan Medical Center since the opening of the hospital. For the purpose of finding problems about the system and investigating adverse effect of medicine which was dispensed to the outpatients, analysis of canceled prescription from outpatient is Asan Medical Center was studied and the results are as follows:1) Incidence of canceled prescription from outpatient was 0.62% of total prescription number 2) By reason of cancellation, input error of physician was 31.3% and adverse reaction, 24.8% 3) By the type adverse reaction, gastrointestinal trouble was 6% and dermatological change, 23.8% 4) In general, gastrointestinal trouble were showed in NSAID group and dermatological change, in H₂-antagonist and new quinolone group 5) Incidence of adverse reaction about prescribed medicine is required the more continuous investidence of adverse reaction about prescribed medicine is required the more continuous investigation.
